Grading Policy for PHIL 106
Introduction to Logic

 

Grading will be based entirely on the work you complete in the course, including

  • active participation in your HomeGroup's work
  • completion of homework exercises inside iLrn
  • completion of the 47 assigned Tarski's World exercises
  • completion of group homework exercises
  • completion of Study Questions for the "About Logic" readings
  • active participation in class discussions of the "About Logic" readings
  • scores on quizzes and exams

More specifically

  • Approximately 50% of your grade will be determined by scores on quizzes and exams.
  • Approximately 30% of your grade will be determined by completion of homewk exercises -- iLrn exercises, Tarski's World exercises, Study Questions, Group assignments, etc.
  • Approximately 20% of your grade will be determined by the degree and quality of participation in the work of your HomeGroup, class discussion of the readings, etc.
